THE BARN
Our historic 1800's barn has been designed to maximize all of the beauty and grandeur it has to offer for your wedding reception. Inside the barn you will find an open floor plan for you to decorate, design, and arrange to match the decor and vision of your special day. The hand-crafted bar is located on the first floor making it easy for your guests to grab a drink and head to the dance floor. On the second floor of the barn you'll find a number of unique, furnished lounge areas for your guests to sit and enjoy the party from above. Included in this is a newly added VIP lounge area that sits above the bar and is separated from the other lounge areas by a newly built bridge. Additionally, the upper barn area tends to be a perfect location for guests of honor to dress and prepare for the day. Your guests will love enjoying a cocktail on our spacious 36’ x 12’ deck, looking out over the gardens and tent area.
THE FARMHOUSE
Our 300-year-old farmhouse has been in our family for three generations. The Farmhouse also boasts a full kitchen, perfect for brunch or a mimosa, or two, and a few lounge areas and couches for everyone to sit, share, and relax before the big moment. There is an enclosed porch off of the kitchen, which is excellent for natural light photography and getting-ready pictures as well as a full bath including a second mirror and sink outside the bathroom, which allows multiple people to get ready at the same time. Enjoy a spacious living room with a gorgeous antique fireplace and multiple seating options. Lastly, we have the two furnished guest bedrooms.
THE CEREMONY SPACES
Caswell Farm & Wedding Barn features a selection of ceremony spaces including our ceremony lawn with ample seating area for a group of any size. The handmade birch arbor can be dressed up with your choice of flowers to match your wedding theme, or left in its natural state of beauty. Our newly reimagined Flower Garden boasts a 50’ by 50’ crushed stone patio surrounded by lush perennials, annuals and herbs. It’s natural beauty makes it an ideal choice for small to medium sized receptions surrounded by color and vibrance. A growing number of our couples are also choosing smaller ceremonies in front of the historic white-washed barn door. This vintage backdrop draped in lighted grape vines has hosted some of our favorite photos on the farm. no matter which space you choose, we can provide 150 white chairs for the ceremony, if you would like, or we gladly refer you to our vendor page where you are welcome to choose the event rental company of your choice to furnish your wedding.
THE LAWN SPACE
The lawn stretches from the farmhouse all the way to the working fields featuring beautiful perennial beds which change throughout the seasons and are the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos. There are multiple lounge spaces with Adirondack chairs for quiet conversations in the shade along with a vast spaces for large groups to enjoy cocktails under the sun.
THE GAME AREA
The venue offers a number of games for you and guests to enjoy and set up wherever you'd like. These fun game options include: corn hole, bocce ball and horseshoes. You are welcome to bring your own. We've seen our guests get really creative and bring waterslides, giant jenga, foosball, and ladder golf.
THE BONFIRE
All of our wedding packages include use of our beautiful bonfire pit and access to unlimited wood supply. If you would like to have your guests sit around the bonfire, you'll have access to hand-hewn, rough-cut benches. This is the perfect space for late-night s’mores and gathering.
THE FIELDS
Caswell Farm Creative manages and grows the specialty produce and products for our partners at Barn & Table Catering, as well as our Farm Stand and a number of Portland Restaurants. This 1 acre farm embellishes the venue with beauty, flowers, and abundance season after season. Guests are welcome to visit the fields where our vegetables are grown or to walk throughout the footpaths of our stunning perennial and herb garden.
THE TENT AREA
The tent space is perfect for the sit-down part of the reception. Since each wedding is unique, you'll decide on the tent that best serves your vision with your rental company. They will come to the property to set up and break down the tent for you, after your wedding.
THE CAMPING AREA
For the third wedding package, your guests are welcome to stay on our property. There is ample space for camping and tents, but we ask that there are no RVs on site. The camping area adjacent parking field and the facilities, but also far enough away from the bonfire and reception to offer some peace and quiet for guests.
THE PARKING AREA
We can accommodate up to 250 people and their cars in the vast parking area space.
THE CATERING SHED
The licensed catering company of your choice will have access to the catering shed which includes: power, lights, water, a walk-in refrigerator, and tables for prep and set up.
THE PROP SHED
Our guests have access to anything in the prop shed to help decorate and facilitate the wedding of their dreams. Some of our props include: extension cords, signage, lawn games, lanterns, 10x10 pop-up tents, and more.
THE FACILITIES
Our bathroom facilities for guests include four separate flushing stalls with a shared foot-pedal sink.
